Move beyond coping.
Work with the patterns underneath.

Mischa Hutchinson

I offer a warm, non-judgemental space to understand and work with the psychological patterns that hold you back.

Rather than focusing only on symptom management, I'm interested in understanding what's happening beneath the surface, how your patterns developed, what they're trying to protect you from, and how we can begin creating more flexibility and choice.

As a queer non-binary person, I have a particular interest in supporting the LGBTQIAP+ community to navigate the unique experiences that come with gender, sexuality, identity, and relationships. I provide a kink-, sex-, and sex worker-affirming space where all parts of your identity are welcome.

Many of the people I work with feel stuck in patterns of self-criticism, perfectionism, procrastination, burnout, or chronic anxiety. Together, we'll explore these patterns with curiosity rather than judgement, while building practical skills that help when life feels overwhelming.

I have experience supporting people with anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and trauma. My approach integrates evidence-based therapies including Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Rather than following a rigid formula, I tailor therapy to your goals, strengths, and what feels most helpful for you.For me, therapy is a collaborative process. We'll spend time exploring your experience as it unfolds in the room, noticing the patterns that emerge, and working together to gently approach the emotions or experiences you've learned to avoid. Alongside this deeper work, we'll develop practical strategies and between-session experiments that help you bring these insights into everyday life.

Above all, I want therapy to feel like a place where you don't have to perform or have everything figured out. You can show up exactly as you are, and we'll work from there.
